Here are some amounts you might like to consider giving each month and how this would help people in need in and around the Thirsk area.

per month helps us to provide one food parcel for one family of two each month

per month helps us to run a one to one session with someone experiencing a mental ill health crisis

per month enables us to insure our deliveries van for a year, meaning that we can collect and deliver hundreds and hundreds of items of furniture each year!

per month (over a whole year) enables us to run a day session with people living with moderate to severe dementia.
£ 0
per month helps us to run our support groups for vulnerable women across North Yorkshire. Over a year, you could help us run eight sessions!

It costs in the region of £35,000 per year to employ one of our one-to-one staff members, which includes all of the associated employment costs, office space, a laptop, heating, insurance cover, office furniture and a year’s supply of Tea and Coffee!

It costs us in the region of £30,000 per year to rent the space for our re:use shop

We can increase your donation by 20% if you are a UK taxpayer. Please fill in the Gift Aid form below which doesn’t cost you a penny and takes 90 seconds! Alternatively, if you’d prefer, you can download the form and send it back to us.

Gift Aid

Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you donate, Community Works receive an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue. So if you give us £20 per month for a year, instead of it being worth £240, it becomes £300! This doesn’t cost you any extra.

Higher rate taxpayers can claim tax relief for themselves at 18% of the gross donation in their annual tax return.

Here at Community Works, we’re always looking for new people to join our fabulous team of volunteers. We have spaces all the time for volunteer drivers, admin assistants, shop assistants, furniture movers and van drivers, people to help in our FoodBank, those who want to give their time to work with some of our older people, and more.
